Thank you for sharing.
If these pictures are yours, did you come with a favorite, a piece that really stood out thanks to the live experience? |

I recently got to see all the releases also and personally really drawn aesthetically to the 5230P.

As a budding Patek enthusiast (not own one yet unfortunately), I had the privilege of viewing some of the new 2022 releases from ADs in Hong Kong. They are part of a rotating exhibition of 11 pieces starting from 30 Apr to 9 Jun 2022.
Each AD holds few watches and have them rotated periodically. The 4 are simply breathtaking, the touch so sensual and emotional. One gets goosebumps just wearing those pieces. I have not experienced the other 7, but will post some photos if I come across them. In my newbie observation (and this is purely personal) the ones that caught my eye are the 2 green pieces, 5270P-014 and 5205R-011. My spouse preferred the 2 salmon dials though, 5172G-010 and 5320G-011. Green is something that is probably so hard to discern on the PP online catalogue and I hope the photos will help those who are trying to make a better decision sight unseen. Let me elaborate a little further on the 2 green shades, bear in mind these are taken under store lighting: 5270P: this green is like a glowing emerald, with lighter green extending from the center to the minute markers. from there, it graduates into a dark green zone as it extends towards the circumference of the dial. eerily beautiful and something that is more obvious in person than the PP website. 5205R: a dark khaki/olive green, that is almost black. it seems to have a mild sunburst effect but not very obvious compare to a Submariner Hulk. it could be passed off as black on casual glance. however, it is a very subtle yet balance shade of green that harmonizes well with the rose gold casing. Love to own both but probably never going to happen |

For some reason, I wish the 5270 retained the Tachymetric scale on the outer circumference. The present version looks too plain. I guess it’s just different cups of tea for different people. Thanks for the pics though! Lovely shots!

I had the same experience in January when I saw the 2021 novelties: the greens (5905A vs 5930P) are so different and so beautiful. The 5930P was already a wonderful and powerful gradated emerald green. It looks the 5270P is on the same trend. The 5905A had more a kind of grey dial basis, with a touch of green, than the opposite. Whether we like green or not, the dials were just stunning in the metal. For what is worth, our eyes can train to perceive the differences between a finishing and another as long as they practice. Seeing many watches over the years helps in the end appreciating these differences and assessing whether they are well crafted or not. It's nice to see you enjoy visiting them for a start. This is the best way to discover what sings to you and being able to determine the watch you may like to buy in the future. The more people share about their live experience, the more this one is mentioned. I'm really looking forward to handle it. |
