Good job! Thanks for the review.

Nice write up. I went with the Rubber B because it has a version that uses the Rolex clasp. Turned my DSSD into a watch I can wear 24 hrs a day. That glidelock is the absolute best solution to adjustments on the fly!

Thanks for this review - I hadn't seen these reviewed side by side.

Interesting, but review did not cover that either had spring bar/band watch security. Neither have that NATO-styled security. The British Navy and Royal Marines with the 5514 and 5517 reference Submariners silver soldered/welded the spring bars in place. Few would choose that route as it only allows a fabric or NATO-styled band, and no fitment of the original Rolex bracelet.

So with drilled lugs, only the original bracelet or NATO bands are acceptable. For harsh
SCUBA diving or other tool-watch conditions, neither of these rubber bands are acceptable. If a spring bar fails for any reason, the band with watch is lost. In very deep water' it must be a very high quality NATO band to really secure the watch. This is even more critical in sailing or other maritime deep water use with small chance of watch recovery.

Of course, for boutique use, these rubbers would work.

Thanks for that. Very helpful, was debating which to put an explorer on.

The writer complains the Everest strap is too long, they now have a shorter strap option available

Noob question here - how difficult would it be to get an oysterflex strap?
