I would get a sub of some sort, and a very nice heirloom dress watch such as either;
ALS Saxonia VC Patrimony/tradtionnelle; or Patek Calatrava. |
Nice collection. No real need to change, but if you insist:
I’d sell SuperOcean, Speedy, Tudor and one of the GMTs. I’d get something PM. Smurf, WG Daytona or WG DD, in that order of preference. |
*faints*
*Wakes up* No Sub??? |
No gold? Far from done
|
The presence of the Aquanaut means you are headed to a new level. So, I keep that, and the Pepsi and the Batman, and turf the rest. Move into PM and AP seems like a next step.
|
Collecting is very personal. If I were you I’d look to offload some watches which you don’t wear for maybe a PM dress watch and a sub for daily.

Clearly you're not done, you already identified those destined for sale/trade.

Many chronographs but not a nice Daytona?
Congratulations on the collection. Nice pieces. |

I wouldn’t be.

could use some gold (in color, not wg). i would consolidate the chronos and move it towards a gold daytona, or a steel one and then add a day date
|
If you don't wear the Breitling SO and Speedy, I'd move those on. I'm not one to double up on models, so I'd sell one of the GMTs as well. I'm a fan of the Tudor. However, if you're not, I'd move it for a similar tier piece you like more to fill a "travel/beater" role. Then again, the YM is a nice low-pro neutral piece.
With the funds, I'd look into a PM Rolex, or SS VC/AP. To me, those are the only future adds that can compete with the Aquanaut for wrist time. |
I would probably get something with a high degree of hand finishing from an independent. The patek for example is machine finished.

Need some PM

If it were me, I would:
Axe - Get rid of 2x Breitling, Tudor and YM Tweak - Swap the SMP300 for a blue dial version (on Artem sailcloth) - Swap IWC Chrono for IWC 43mm Big Pilot Additions - Add a SS Daytona (Panda for a white dial) - Add a Panerai Luminor (not sure what your wrist size is so hard to say which model) - Add a Blancpain Bathyscaphe - Add a JLC Reverso That would leave you with a near-perfect (IMO) sport-watch collection that also has some pieces that can fill in nicely when wearing a suit in formal settings. |
Nice collection!
Personally, I'd get rid of the top row, except substitute the BB58 for the seamaster, then supplement with a few other randoms. |
Beautiful collection. If it were me I would add a Reverso. For some reason I just think it would be a great addition to that group.

1st off the BLNR and the BLRO are awfully similar... I would put the BLNR on oyster; I have mine on the glidelock and am very happy with it that way.
You mentioned the speedy does not get much wrist time. I still think its a keeper. I would play around with different straps and see what sings to you the most. These days any patek is hard to come by but I really prefer the 5164. If i could sell the 5167 for the 5164 I would make that move in a heartbeat. I would keep the navitimer, IWC and YM40... I like them all. I would probably consolidate the 3 remaining watches into 1 and close it out at 8. So get rid of the superocean, bb41, and SM300Diver. The superocean you like it the least; the bb41 is very "not special", and the diver300 is great on the spec sheet but i sold mine for many reasons including: the He valve, the scalloped bezel, the non-tapering bracelet, and the sheer chunkyness of the watch. Easy pass on those 3. As far as what to get: Maybe get a subLV, maybe a rolex with a fluted bezel, maybe something like a VC overseas dual time, maybe something from Cartier, lots of options. I'm not a fan of AP as they never look quite right on my wrist but maybe you can pull it off. Some have mentioned daytona - I have one and love it. |
Some of you come across as watch snobs

Nobody is ever done.
But I would get a proper dress watch. I always have one, and I virtually never get dressed up. But maybe your 11th is a dress watch. |
Asking this question is like open the Pandora box.
Is this a hobby or a disease? We watch lovers ALWAYS will be in trouble, the world DONE only exist when you pass away. Congratulations in your collection, it shows that you bought what you like and not what was hot. Cheers |
Any reason you never went for a Daytona?
|
I do have to suggest a Rolex Sub if you can obtain one. Also a dress watch like a PP Calatrava or JLC Reverso. Sell the Breitling Chrono and whatever else you rarely wear
|
Seems you have a thing for classic chronographs, hence why the Super Ocean (a dive chronograph) doesn't really fit. I'd probably part with that in favor of a Zenith chronograph. Chronomaster Original would be my choice, but Sport if you want something larger. I'd also be inclined towards some of their other watches as well, from the Defy line.
