I have several and also many top end brands such as FPJ, ALS, Rolex, PP, AP, VC etc. They fill a niche for me. I can't afford a minute repeater and I also need watches I can wear in London, swim in rocky rivers etc and not worry if they get trashed or even stolen.
I have 2xBC, 12, 12 skeleton LE steel, Bronze LE, Atol, Tiffany dial etc. They are much more appealing than a Tissot, Seiko or other similar brands but each to his/her own. I'm also from the UK originally so good to see the UK watch industry picking up a bit. |

However it has a function that chimes once every hour. So it is a "sonnerie" watch, but NOT a "grande sonnerie". Despite this, I totally agree, at this price a sonnerie watch is a game changer in itself  |

I believe the C1 Bel Canto hit a grand slam home run.
Unmatched value for a Sonnerie au Passage chiming watch. If the watch was double or triple the price it still has no peers. A similar High end Sonnerie au Passage chiming watch is the Chopard Luc Strike One at a msrp of $70,300 and the Bel Canto is better looking. Love my Bel Canto X Watch with high quality parts being supplied by Armin Strom and Chronode(used by MB&F) for the Bel Canto. |

I wanted to try the CH Moonphase and purchased one late last year. When it showed up I thought it was okay for the price point, now it feels like a cheap date that never gets any action.

I did the same. It’s an ok watch, but just ok. I like the strap I have from Aaron Bespoke as much as the watch. They now have a smaller sized variant. I think that suits this watch much better. I like the Bel Canto more. It is a unique piece. The twelve just seems derivative to me and I do not like the octagonal bezel (or however many facets it actually has). https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b179926c59.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e2d8029fc7.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There’s definitely a legibility issue. That’s likely why the “classic” models have blued hands. The oem straps just look cheap to me. 3rd pic down is the original strap https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...bd794f9b9e.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...81a4dc86d6.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...897defe194.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...47a3e115c7.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...23fadd5b97.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
They make nice watches at the price point. Some are exceptional values in comparison to other brands with the same features. I like them enough that I've got seven of them. They've taken up a major place in my collection.

I have a 39mm C63 Sealander in white. Great watch for the price £670 new and used to be my everyday wear until I got the OP41. Despite it being statistically 2mm diameter smaller than the OP41 it wears bigger and is a lot heavier. The one thing I’m wary of is manually winding it because the Sellita movement is prone to a spinning rotor.
