Maybe the guys got bounced from the bar and into here! Which is okay with us.

I'm still waiting with bated breath on Joe's metal roof decision.:chuckle:

I believe he's going with a red roof. Do you remember the advertising to the Red Roof Inn. Their slogan was "Sleep Cheap".....

Not sure yet about the colour. The wife gets the final vote as she controls the money, the beer buying and the hanky panky.:chuckle:

You will not be able to see much, but I have attached a picture of the landscaping I am having done at the doublewide. The lake is at the bottom of the page. What I want to ask is this. What is wrong with the design of the flagstone sitting area? The wife thinks it just looks like it was plopped down in the middle of the yard. Any suggestions?

Is the ground level where the flagstones are? How about some sort of water feature, perhaps a solar powered bird bath or the like. Maybe some planters?

Ground level.

I asked the wife about a water feature, and she placed her hands on her hips and nodded toward the lake saying, "Is that not a water feature"?:chuckle:

I would "fill in" the area of flagstones lakeward to meet up with your plant border. Maybe give it a curve shape. Something like this, or a little bigger?

Great Idea Lisa. The wife likes.:thumbsup: Just my luck. I can see it now. You two guys will like each other better than me. Man, how I have been on that Mary-Go-Round before.:chuckle: Thanks for the idea as that is what we will do.

Well, awesome! I'm really glad you like it. The plan all around looks just amazing - hope you'll post some pics of it when it's all in place.

But I think I already liked her better than you about a year ago when you Sharpied my name onto your arse and she just laughed at you.:cheers::chuckle:

Joe, one thing to consider for the patio area, what kind of slope will it have. As that portion of your land leads to the lake does it have a steep grade? If so you might want to cut into the land and make the patio level. Then you can put up retaining wall to hold the land(hill/grade) back!!!

Which ever way you go you should have a good view of the lake while you relax with your Keg.....

Chaperoning a school field trip!

Well, hubby decided to put in a walkway from the driveway to the front walk. The cost of that, coupled with the fact that the DK roses on the right side of the house are exploding with blooms... prohibits me spending a bunch of money on plants right now.

However, the walkway carves out a cool garden spot in front of the house for future planning. I'll post a pic when it's done this weekend.

Hah! :chuckle: Well, the guys are just about finished. Just a little wiring trouble-shooting they'll work on in the morning.

I think they'll work on the cleanup some more, too - we're due for more rain, though, so not sure what the weekend will bring. It's sure been one big muddy mess, but I'm really glad to have a system like that. Our house in San Antonio had one, and it was so nice to use. I just hope the new landscaping won't have suffered too much and can bounce back.

One good thing - the owner of the lawn care company lives right across the street from us, so if we have problems or questions he's easy to find.

Lisa, as long as the new landscaping is getting enough rain it will be okay!!!

Ha. You think you Catholics invented "guilt?" We had guilt honed to a fine edge before your guy even came on the scene. Don't you think Sarah made Abraham feel guilty about making Isaac carry all those sticks up the mountain by himself for his own alter to burn on? You better believe she gave it to him when they got home.:rofl::rofl:

Maybe a better phrase would be Fear Based!!!
