What would a 5512 with a 765xxx serial and a 1530 cal. have, dial wise?

Another one for the thread. Here is a 1961 four-line "tulip" dial.

Marci .... sigh.
I saw his name and ... that's the quickest uplift and let down I've experienced in a long time.... |
As the owner of a 1960 PCG 550XXX range 5512, caliber 1560, this is probably
the best treatment I have seen on this reference to date. It reflects knowledge and horological dedication. A 1560 movement in this early 5512 must be somewhat rarer than the base 1530 caliber used in both 5512 and 5513 references carried forward by Rolex through at least the early 1960s. The 1560 and later 1570 movements were COSC qualified. There is something special about owning a Submariner that was created when Hans Wilsdorf was still at the helm of Rolex. |
