The Ploprof is a very cool piece but the DSSD would be an easy decision for me. And I'd go D Blue!

Or even crazier, the white dial PP. It looks amazing in person with the white bezel.

captainnice 11 February 2015 06:08 AM

I like the DSSD

You need to appreciate watches, rather than just Rolex, to understand. And the vote is irrelevant; you're on a Rolex forum.

Who's the badass now :)

Everyone here is very biased, take it with a grain of salt. I say Ploprof

osamu 11 February 2015 07:39 AM

Ploprof is a acquired taste, and the DSSD is much more conservative. I prefer the Ploprof on rubber, and never been a fan of mesh straps, but maybe that's an acquired taste as well. I think on orange rubber is one of the funner watches available, but definitely might be hard as like a daily wear.

Rolex fan 61 11 February 2015 08:02 AM

Rolex definately

Jason71 11 February 2015 08:07 AM

Go vintage Ploprof IMHO

bigwatchman 11 February 2015 08:42 AM

Both nice but Omega wins in my book!

Mike1066 11 February 2015 09:00 AM

If you just want a fun watch to wear to the beach in the summer, the PloProf hands down.

I was going to say this as well but knocking around the beach with a vintage PloProf (esp in and out of the water) may not be the best idea. I know, you can get it pressure tested, but I would feel hesitant to wear one if you are going to be in the water a ton.

But, other than that, I would definitely go vintage PP over either the new PP or the DSSD. In a heartbeat.

subtona 11 February 2015 09:02 AM

Anthony,
you know you could rock that ploprof!

if your keeping the sub you have, its a perfect way to mix it up.

Eric Chan 11 February 2015 09:14 AM

DSSD by a long shot.

antbkny 11 February 2015 09:50 PM

I appreciate all the feedback brothers, thanks for taking the time. Ultimatly I'm looking for a stand out tool watch. So I'll be picking up the ploprof as well as the Deepsea. But plofrof will be here first.

Muzz 11 February 2015 10:15 PM

PP has a longer history than the DSSD, just saying..... Can't go wrong with either but you will certainly have more $ left in your pocket if you choose the PP.

bottom of the ninth 11 February 2015 10:39 PM

Both are cool but you might get tired of the mesh bracelet on the Omega...

Oyster99 11 February 2015 11:14 PM

Voted DSSD but after long and hard thinking (lol) i think the PP is the monster watch you are looking for

Both is even better:cheers:

lhanddds 11 February 2015 11:50 PM

They both look a little small. :chuckle:

vipergts 12 February 2015 12:36 AM

deep sea all day everyday.

Look forward to the incoming.

Omega PP! Looks more cool. Better choice for hanging out on beach/bars. Just looks cooler and with shark mesh bracelet.

Choo Yao Chuen 12 February 2015 01:51 AM

Easy

DSSD for sure.

There are actually plenty of NOS and service parts on the market so there's no worry there. Mine had a service dial, hands, bezel and seals so it was effectively a new watch bar the case. I wouldn't wear one that hadn't been properly services and re-conditioned, though.

regnant 13 February 2015 12:13 AM

Omega looks cooler but I would pick the Rolex

Vincent65 13 February 2015 12:24 AM

For what you've outlined, I'd say the Omega. Cool, iconic tool-watch. Funky design, real wrist presence and not so common.

Gerry62 13 February 2015 06:50 AM

DEEP SEA for me

I prefer the Deepsea but I'd listen to what TonyD and Osamu said.

I have seen that orange hand on a number of inferior brands. I like omega but I wouldn't choose that one over a Rolex. I must say paired with the tattoos the Rolex looks amazing- the other competes and fails - as far as more unique who cares ones a Rolex and the other is an omega
