If you want ruin the uniqueness of the AP QP...take away the week indicator and make it a 39mm while still offering the cooler and quirkier 41mm with the current week indicator.

I am not against week indicator, I'm in for one that is perpetual and not something that needs to be ajusted all the time...

Personally, I always lusted after a QP but found the experience of owning one to be anti-climatic in this day and age. What I mean to say is, we all own multiple watches that we wear in rotation; I don't have the ability to keep the watch on a winder in my safe so I resort to setting every time I wear it. This isn't a problem, I love setting the time even with the pushers. Other than setting the watch you have very little interaction with it; the lack of seconds hand makes the dial very static. In real world terms an annual calendar would do exactly the same job for me (maybe a 3 register Annual Calendar would look great).
I'd also argue the lack of 53 weeks means the watch isn't perpetual.

Going through the 150th site (have you done the Rabbit yet?!) I've just seen what looks like a Ceramic 15510 non-Chrono......which was something hinted to me at APH when I last there.

You know that for a fact? Doesn't look the right sizing for 34mm to these eyes of mine but happy to be proven wrong.....

Gandor 25 February 2025 11:52 PM

Anyone get all the badges? I only found 9

I wish! Not a 41mm tho. Count the number of squares from center to date wheel. 41mm has 7.5

edo 26 February 2025 12:01 AM

I know the new crown movement is insane, but for the looks you can't top this one with the old movement... and the John M wasn't the last one as they said before...

The video of bulk glass is something that hits hard...

5 squares from center to date window = not a 41mm (where that would be 7).

$109300. What was the last price for the previous model? Seems like AP decided not to go overboard.

hmm.. a new qp movement with all settings set on crown. all i can say is: hope they improved the stem qc :agree:

Audevache 26 February 2025 01:11 AM

I really want that new QP. Just not sure if steel or sand gold. I'm normally a steel guy, but sand gold is such a pretty color. Any thoughts on which one to get?

gretch6364 26 February 2025 01:27 AM

I like the tuscan code chrono. Not sure I like it $86K...but it looks pretty great.

Is that a new concept piece?

Yes, they wouldn't just sneak in a 41mm Ceramic 15510, that would be a huge deal. It's 34

gretch6364 26 February 2025 02:12 AM

I also see a new ceramic beast....done with the 43mm ROO style hands and Grand Tapisserie. I really hope that isn't a signal of what is to come for the other two 42mm versions of the beast. Just before I am about the green light allocation.

I have the 2 card, couldn't find the 8 card. But I also have all 9 atm

ButtButt 26 February 2025 03:10 AM

That blue Tuscan dial Code is wow... also love the steel and sand gold QP.

The website really is well done, you can tell they spent some time on it.

Lambo Jota 26 February 2025 03:14 AM

So they hired Thanos's kid to market the Royal Oak Perpetual for the video

I am having trouble getting on the 150y website, anyone here also?

In-N-Out 26 February 2025 04:14 AM

Blue ceramic Code chrono is nice but no way I would want to pay $90k for that lol. Pretty underwhelmed by these releases. New QP is nice of course but we all knew it was coming for the last 2 years

+1 on the Code chrono. No way does the tuscan dial with baguettes warrant a nearly $36K premium over the regular production version :thumbsdow

AP sort of cheated with this one... they said the John Mayer was the last iteration with the 5134, which is technically true since this 150th version has the openworked 5135. But I still call cheating!
