I know...I just felt like teasing you cause you are a very special lady!!!

Personally I think he's nuts to spend his time in the basement with his toys when he has a beautiful lady and three growing children to spend his time with upstairs.....he definitely has his priorities screwed up!!!

I sent another e-mail to Michelle yesterday and got a reply this afternoon, she has been very, very busy lately and had to take care of some family business but she says she misses the Coffeeshop and she would like to say hi to everybody.

Someday he will be sorry.

Art, I agree with you and it's to bad because he doesn't know what he is missing and you can never get that time or missed experiences back. Believe me I know...as my Dad was to busy for us when we were growing up and later in his life(after he retired in his mid seventies) he realized his mistakes. That is why I made it a point to be involved with Ben and his activities as he was growing up and be there for him. I will say though that the last few years my Dad was alive we developed a friendship and a relationship where we became close...and when he died he was my Hero and my Dad!!!

I will call Ben or text him at least twice a week just to say Hello and tell him I love him.....it means a lot to me and I know he appreciates it as well...living so far away!!!

Take it easy.....Leo

I'm sure you are an excellent father Leo. I was lucky to have good parents who are still alive and very healthy.

Beautiful gardenias, Art. I bet they do smell wonderful.

Flowers? Flowers? Not here until July maybe. The 12" of snow fizzled into mostly freezing rain but it still made a mess of the roads. Now it will melt by the weekend and hopefully spring will be here, although the avg temp is 60 and that isn't even in the 10 day forecast. I don't think 50 is either.

I have my winter night plan tonight: Organize my Panerai buckles in my storage box. Separate out the tubes, pins, screws, and buckles by size: 22, 24 and 26. Should take only an hour or two.

Don't mind me, everybody. I saw this, and the first thought that ran through my head was "this is perfect for CS". Right, I'll just mosey along now.

Finally somebody wrote it down. Thank God because I still didn't know. Maybe I'll print that out and carry it in my wallet.

That wasn't wise posting that here was it

Think I'd better log off for a while

Well, all I have on hand at the moment is something a dear friend sent the other day...

That would make a nice refrigerator magnet, or so I hear.

Rodentman 13 April 2013 03:13 AM

The Rodentwoman and I have been together for 40 years this April. I have it better than most husbands. She doesn't buy anything, doesn't want anything, and stays in the bedroom watching her tv all evening. She asks me for household money every so often; I don't keep track. I give her $100 when she asks.

She hasn't written a check in fifteen years and used the CC only in rare emergency like when the car got a flat.

That said, she DID want to go to Poland for a big family reunion this summer and that's fine with me.

chicfarmer1 13 April 2013 03:40 AM

Rodentwoman is of a different time, it seems. As long as it works for you all, super.
I am not like Rodentwoman. I am, however, likable in my own way.:chuckle:

And from Robert Zimmerman, a tribute to a woman, with one of the most beautiful rock lyrics ever written at the very end:
---
Love Minus Zero, No Limit by Bob Dylan

My love she speaks like silence
Without ideals or violence
She doesn’t have to say she’s faithful
Yet she’s true, like ice, like fire
People carry roses
Make promises by the hours
My love she laughs like the flowers
Valentines can’t buy her

In the dime stores and bus stations
People talk of situations
Read books, repeat quotations
Draw conclusions on the wall
Some speak of the future
My love she speaks softly
She knows there’s no success like failure
And that failure’s no success at all

The cloak and dagger dangles
Madams light the candles
In ceremonies of the horsemen
Even the pawn must hold a grudge
Statues made of matchsticks
Crumble into one another
My love winks, she does not bother
She knows too much to argue or to judge

The bridge at midnight trembles
The country doctor rambles
Bankers’ nieces seek perfection
Expecting all the gifts that wise men bring
The wind howls like a hammer
The night blows cold and rainy
My love she’s like some raven
At my window with a broken wing
