I travel through Europe and Asia Pacific on business and My Explorer 11 travels with me and doesn't leave my wrist ....just LOVE the 24hr hand. Most of my contacts wear Rolex (especially in Asia) so my baby sort of fits in well......
I've only had it for a couple of Months and I'm travelling into some of the murkier parts of eastern eurpe next Month - so debating whether to take my old Longines for 'street ware' - leave Rollie tucked up in the hotel safe....... |
Trial Lawyer. My firm specializes in products liability, professional malpractice, engineering defects, catastrophic industrial injuries, sexual and clergy abuse, workers compensation, statutory and contractual disability among other areas. I started my career, like most astute trial lawyers, representing insurance companies. After some years of working for the dark force to the point that my conscience could take it no more, I took up the speer as opposed to the shield. Now I get to do social justice and be Robin Hood. I am involved with a huge fraud matter involving pension funds that are essentially stolen from hard working people after they have given their lives to a company. Boom, company gets bought, and so does obligation to pay for these funds leaving people broke. I have paralyzed clients, defaced clients, amputees, widows, widowers, parents whose kids have been killed, all kinds of people after 22 years of this.
I usually wear my GMT with black bezel. That is the watch of the day, every day. Then I will sport my LV on weekends or friday nights when I am feeling sporty. |
I wear my Rolex SD everyday at work. :thumbsup:
I design watches at Omega :dummy::justkiddi j/k... or am I?!? :chuckle: |

Corporate Lobbyist in the defense sector last three years. Before that US Marine for 26 years.
Never miss a day without a suit and tie. My only Rolex option is a GMT-IIC TT. I really like it and do wear it at times, but the Lange and the VC listed below actually fit better under most shirt cuffs and seem to make more sense to me than the GMT. I get zero reactions from my watches unless I go to a watch store. Oops, just notice this restarted from August |
A lot of respect to you Jon - Paramedic ?

Hi ! I am an armyofficer and have hade my watches every day, for the past 30 years, therefore the have gained a "sort of patina" during the years.... Probably the watches will take more strain than "my humble body".... Or what would you think..???

I am a Distribution Center Manager for a large Electric utility. Since I bought my SD and Exp II a few weeks ago they have received the most wrist time :cheers:
Before that I rotated to a different watch on an almost daily basis. I have a pretty diverse collection that includes: Omega SMP Omega Speedmaster Limes Vintage Nightflight JDR TV Screen Glycine KMU 48 Mark II Quad 10 Zeno Magellano Day/Date Seiko 007 (Yao modded) Citizen SS Eco-Zilla There are a few others, but these get the most wear. I make my choice on what to wear each morning based on my mood and planned activities. |

Letsgodiving - I know this is off subject but I am in Prince George. I dive rehularly at Rawlings. You ever been there? I am also diving Tortola BVI next month.
|
I'm a Mechanical Engineer...I help design telescopes like the Hubble.

You're just around the corner. I haven't been to Rawlings in close to 15 years. Is it as dark and cold as I remember? If you like diving quarry's you should try Fantasy Lake in N.C and Milbrook up in Nova if you haven't already. I assume you can still dive them. Millbrook is close to 90 feet deep from what I remember and very cold at depth. I mostly wreck dive off Va beach and N.C. these days. I envy your BVI trip. Nothing like the crystal clear warm waters in the Carrib. :cheers: |
Im a Real Estate agent and have been for three years...the market here in Ontario Canada is amazing and we arent being hit by any of the fallout in the USA. Strong growth and many sales got me my GMT IIc

I will stop the diving post after this one... Last month I did 6 dives there 2 at night, vis 30 ft and about 75 degrees until about 30 ft.:clap: |

I'm an project engineer for a rather large company, and I wear a Rolex as well. If you called on me, I'd compliment you on a mighty fine watch! I've done it for a bunch outside sales guys over the years. It helps to break the ice and establish some common ground. Some of my co-workers think it's cool, others think it's a waste of money, and my boss likes it a lot to answer your other questions.... I always thought that engineers would really appreciate Rolexes and other fine watches, but in reality very few have any appreciation for them....most engineers seem to regard them with a degree of disdain. I became an engineer because I have always been fascinated with finely crafted mechanical devices (nice guns, fine watches, cool cars, etc), but most of my co-workers went into the profession for some other reason....
