Just sitting out on the front pourch talking trash with the wife; wondering when we should run inside before the storms hit; watching the four kids play, fight, argue, and just have plain ole' fun. Then a thought hit me hard, which was that....I wish that time would stand still and the kids would not grow up. Ain't worried about me getting old as I am already old. Just want the joy and happiness in front of me to stay as it is. Won't happen. This is not my first family to raise, but for some reason; it is the family that I do not want to grow up. What a putz I have become.:dummy::rofl::cheers:

I had a similar feeling when Phoebe started kindergarten three years ago. One of my husband's colleagues told my husband, "At our house we've adopted the tuck and roll approach" to the kids' first day at school. As in, drive up to the school and slow down long enough for them to, you know.... helpful if the car has suicide doors.

You know, many times I've been so glad we had our little accident, Violet. Kind of nice, despite it all, to have a little baby to love again.

I took some fun pictures today of our house, inside and out - and hope to post them tonight. Finally can give you guys a little tour. I decided that if I waited for all the fixtures to be up, paintings to be hung, rooms to be tidied, and furniture to arrive, I'd never take the photos.

My car doesn't have suicide doors! :chuckle:

Where to start.:rofl: Yes you are close; just a little high, but not by that much. Pride runs deep in our family and being proud of what we do is very important. So with that said, while you are still VERY young; having Violet when you did was something I admire. Not easy and since, as we get older, we understand true responsibilty; the rewards and sacrifices are so much greater and yes....enjoyed. Man, I have lost my train of thought.:dummy: Must be time to grope the wife and call it a day. You know, if the members read all these posts, and especially the Mods, they will never let me post on the regular forums again.:bartmoon::dummy::rofl:

Tried to create a vintage kitchen, with real linoleum floors and soapstone countertops. Most of the cabinetry is original, and so are tile backsplashes. Circa 1950 O'Keefe & Merritt gas stove. Cooks like a dream!

Hallway bath near the kitchen. The tiny little sink is a "toothbrushing" sink - I'd never seen anything like it. Tile's in pretty good shape, but this bath had the most wear.

Very nice. All I can say is wow to the whole house and add that I love the double ovens.
