Looking at these lovely pictures, I didn't see any screw-heads. I did a google image search for the back of the case, and there's no quick-change latch, either. Does the 1940 case use ... springbars??? That's so un-Panerai of them.

Well if it's DLC, not PVD, it's hard to scratch them, and they stay nice...

This is a common misunderstanding....DLC is a type of PVD. PVD is the process and DLC (diamond like carbon) is the coating.

DLC is the best coating, so, it will hold up well.
