bought my 662 and then got offered the 690 a week later, couldn't swing it. in hindsight should have passed on the 662 and bought the 690. i like the dial really amazing. someday i will have one, but for now....:chuckle::chuckle:

Love the dials!!

Not so much the waves on the back.

Not sure about the spring bars.

Cru Jones 7 September 2018 03:16 PM

Thanks for posting.

Based on the marketing materials, I’m thinking that in real life, the dials will be rather dark, with the blue being subtle.

Good luck and I hope you get one!

I can’t have them all, but I’d also really love the 690. But, alas, I’ll have to admire this one from afar.

Yikes—it looks like some pictures show the blues with silver and ecru hands while others show gold and ecru hands...very sloppy marketing...well the red gold blue will definitely have gold hands but I think the jury is out on the others...silver hands on blue dial may be a deal breaker for me...

Good looking watches.

I have to believe they are gold hands and this is just lighting in the pictures

brandrea 7 September 2018 08:54 PM

I can’t wait to see these in real life! Thanks for posting DP:thumbsup:

vivicorsi 7 September 2018 08:55 PM

judging from the pics the dial could be mate...not as mettalic and shiny like the 690, which i love in the sunlight. so no sunburst dial, but as they call it "satiné " soleil.
not sure if i am going to like this.well we will see

Satine soleil used To describe the dial you would hope it would have a sunburst effect of some sort.

That’s the same description they used to describe the 690 dial.

I agree it’s not the same, but the words used to describe the dial are.

Satin solie is a type of dial with the satin sheen...it doesn’t go to any particular colour, necessarily—it’s like saying that a new PAM will have a 1940 case...

Yes it's not the same dial at all. It's a light blue in the middle then gradients out to dark blue on the outside. Has the same finish that we have seen on the sun burst style dials though.

Has pricing been released yet?

vivicorsi 14 September 2018 04:07 PM

https://www.panerai.com/en/collectio...osso-45mm.html

they are now on the homepage, didnt realise the US prices are much lower than in Europe. 9200 Dollars vs 8900 Euros nearly 1000 Euros cheaper in the US. wow

vivicorsi 14 September 2018 04:27 PM

as i understand it it will have a spring bar system (would have prefered the screws).... is it difficult not to sctrach the lugs with the panerai spring bars?

had springbars on my 634, it’s not impossible to remove them without scratching. there is a little ‘groove’ they go in to....needless to say I did scratch it up just a bit. :chuckle:

Am I the only one who doesn't like these kind of dials? Much prefer blue dials like on the BMG.

mobster600 15 September 2018 10:11 AM

Anyone else wonder where Panerai design direction is going???

They jumped in deep to the military style bronzos and submersible line, which was great.

What is this supposed to be? A modern fashionista, edgy, martini drinking line? They just dont fit with Panerai as a brand. I feel Panerai is desperate and trying to stay up with the Jones’s rather then sticking to their roots.

Any news on the 932? How ist the dial in person, is the gradient blue nicely done ?

It should be set to be released in selected boutiques in the next couple of weeks. The blue is nice but it’s not nearly as striking as the 670/690 dials. The 932 is great, but it’s not the 690!

Thx Erik...that was my fear..... gradient dials are very difficult to make, if they look two tone it is not pleasant :(
would you have photos? ( unfortunatlely no fb account any more)

My only photos I posted on FB and then deleted. Please do not get me wrong...the 932 dial is beautiful....Its just not as special or striking as the 690 dial...it is a bit more understated, which some people will appreciate even more...

maybe someone else on here can post the comparison picture from my FB shot...
