antique_leatherstraps on ebay???
Anybody heard of this Thai strap maker? well priced and the pictures look pretty nice. i am thinking about jumping in for one given a give or take 30 dollar price tag on auction items. however, before i pull the trigger, do any of your fellow paneristi's have any experience with this strapmaker? much appreciated.

I'm not too big on eBay and I'd gather that most here aren't either. Good luck though and post some pics!

quentin_287: It just came today, and I'm very pleased, it is very very nice, quality and workmanship is top class, exactly like those pictures on eBay, and price is very good, I paid $42, which I think is un-beatable. I have couple straps cost almost 4 times more, I might like this more :dummy::dummy::dummy:

Just returned from Thailand a couple of weeks ago I went to see the guy at his house. The ammount of straps he has is amazing he showed us the leather that he buys to make the straps (some of the leather sachels are stamped well over a hundred years old)
Zed and I bought a few straps from him and would recommend him to anyone considering buying a new strap. Excellent price, excellent quality great guy. |

Thailand has some great craft makers. The pics look very similar to some of the high quality leather crafts I've seen during my 2 years in Thailand. I have several leather handcrafts from there. Unfortunately, no watch straps. I should be back in Bangkok in a few months, I will hit my usual shops and look for some.

Philip is not Thai he lives there with his wife (girlfriend)
