Otis' Day Out
Sunday was a very good day, turns out it was apparently my birthday. I'm not really one for a big fuss, so it was fairly low-key, but a great one!
Started out with a huge stack of pancakes that my lovely girlfriend made me for, complete with icecream and blueberries, All from the comfort of my bed! ....sorry guys...no pics here :chuckle: I'm a lucky guy, here are the gifts she gave me: outside: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g4...ay/outside.jpg .... and inside: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g4...day/inside.jpg Can't wait for Herbie Hancock! After that, went with my parents to a great seafood place on the river. Man did I eat too much. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g4...day/lunch2.jpg My secret is out, I am a pelican! My Parents: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g4...ay/parents.jpg 4 courses...mmm.... including: Boston Bay mussels: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g4...hday/clams.jpg And chocolate fondue for dessert! (including wristshot...of course) http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g4...ay/dessert.jpg One very full man... http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g4...irthday/me.jpg |
Happy birthday Otis and great pictures Otis, and like yourself a big Jazz fan,and very fond of shell fish except oysters, never tried them, its just the thought of eating them.Herbie has got to be one of the best jazz pianists of all time. One of my favourite masters of swing Oscar Peterson a great pianist.

Not an oyster fan either. It's the texture and the way of eating too. But those mussels were great with a creamy white wine sauce. Quote:
I'll box 'er up and send her to New Zealand! Funny story actually, there was a teacher in my high school who did have one of them in a cupboard. :chuckle: Thanks Alan, I am very lucky. I didn't show the big chocolate and strawberry cake she baked for me. :agree: :agree: :agree: Always love getting together with my parents too. Always remember that the best things in the world are friends and loved ones. |
