Charlie Harper and Chelsea Broke up!.... Why does that depress me?
OK... Faith... Oh Faith! You have a patient tonight....
So... ( I think ) Everyone knows Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) on two and a half men. He's a womanizing-gambling-lazy drunk, that prides himself on bedding young and vulnerable women, (Ashley hates his guts :chuckle: ) UNTIL... until he met the love of his life and got engage to a very lovely lady named Chelsea. Well.... on tonights show, Chelsea admitted feelings for another guy and "postponed" the wedding, the final scene was Charlie, looking out over the Ocean... obviously depressed and his mother of all people trying to console him. Why the hell does that depress me? First, it's a *$%&@($ TV SHOW! It's not real Paul.... (and neither is "General hospital"). Second, if EVER there was a character that deserved to get a dose of his own medicine it was this guy, he broke more hearts then a DTing chest surgeon. Hey I'm as much as a cheauvenust pig as the next guy but there is no way I should feel sorry for this slut. So.... what gives? Is it because the scene last week where Chelsea didn't come home reminded me of the exact same scene in my own house with my ex wife years ago? Is it because it was kinda cool that Charlie WAS really trying to make it work with this woman and I was hoping to see them ride off in the sunset together and live hapily ever after? Is it because... Faith...? FAITH!!!!!!! I need Therapy!!!!!!! Well TRF... I think it's finally come to this... yep... Leo has lectured me for years.... but I finally see the light.... Alcohol is the key to sanity.... Forgive me for taking so long to conform Leo... but I've converted, I'm with you now! |
:banhim:
For his own good.:read::read: |
:thinking:HUH?
I thought that show was a comedy. You know, Paul, you really need a GF to create your own drama. :chuckle: |
there... there... :concerned
|
Hmm... now who will help him with his battle with herpes??
|
step away from the TV, Paul :chuckle:

I watched 2 episode with my deaf-as-a-post mom - with the volume cranked to 11 - ear bleeding level...
I believe that listening to canned laughter that loud altered my chromosomes. |
I'm here, Paul. The irony is you really didn't need me. How smart you are to realize that you identify with the same issue. Of one thing I am pretty certain, when we react strongly to something, it is typically because it brings up for us similar feelings we have experienced in the past. So in essence, we are able to empathize with others as a result of our own experiences. Your ability to empathize gives you a warm and sensitive appeal. Now go use this characteristic (along with your many others, e.g., wit, cuteness) in the service of meeting women, be it through friends, by attending events or through abduction. (I want to be invited to your wedding.) Faith :bye:
P.S. Don't rely on Charlie Sheen (actually for anything), write your own happy ending. |

Paul my dear friend, I'm all with you on this one. I had tears in my eyes at the ending of the show. How could she treat him like this after all he's done for her. When he throwed up in the babys crib and needed her the most she took the liberty to leave, what a bitch.:chuckle: |
I liked Charlie in "Hot shots". He dated a pretty woman in that movie. Paul, You need to go out and find a GF soon. If you continue to cry watching tv shows, we may revoke your Rolex collection, and have you banned for being a Tosser. Your getting a little close. JJ should be along soon to stir things up, but in the meantime you need to take deep breaths. Everything is going to be fine!

just:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
and :dummy::dummy::dummy::dummy::dummy: help needed :read::read::read::read::read: cracks me up:chuckle::chuckle::chuckle: Paul..you are a crack up my friend:thumbsup::thumbsup: |
I must be one of the few who have never seen an episode of this show, aside from the occasional commercial.
Paul, I'm glad you finally have someone to look up to, and model your life after!:agree: |
You all bring up excellent points.... sniff. And you were right-on Faith, it really did strike a nerve when charlie came home and his wife wasn't there, kind of like my situation 15 years ago, when he realized "something" was wrong, I actully got a shiver thinking about that night. I was hoping everything would turn out OK in this episode... Like I had hoped it would have turned out OK for me I guess... I'm no fan of Charlie Harper but Charlie Sheen played the part very well in these two episodes, the concern, the desperation, the pain, brought back memories... OK! OK! I admit it... I'm in serious need of therapy! Faith, what are your rates? Hey listen, they are SEVERAL people on TRF that are in need of some kind of Therapy! (as a matter of fact probably MOST :twit: ) What do you say guys? I'm sure we could get a group rate.... (Of course after seeing many of us FAITH would then be in need of some serious therapy...)
Ashly, THANK you for clarifying I'M not the one with Herpes! (Ouch!) I read somewhere that Charlie Sheen bragged about sleeping with over 5000 women... How did the poor guy ever get any sleep? Leo... Alcohol IS the answer right? I'm new at this remember... so I'll probably have some stupid questions... be patient with me... :thumbsup: |

I accept payment in the forms of Datejusts, German cars (preferably in Artic Silver) and charming Cape Cod abodes with peau de soie covered sofas (with a subtle motif often found in 18th century French furniture). :bye: (Group rate? That would be contingent upon the group therapy members. I factor in pain and suffering - mine.) |
Faith, how about justifiable dates, car that sounds german, and a tent pitched in the adirondack mountains, with a log to sit upon?:agree:

Good riddance to her. :bartmoon: She was stifling the humor. Charlie is who he is, Alan is who he is, Evelyn is who she is, Jake is . . . whatever he is and Berta . . . well . . . Berta is . . . :thinking:. Anyway, that's why the show works so darn well.
Besides, Chelsea deserves better . . . and Charlie deserves younger and perkier. :naughty: |

Dont worry Paul, theresa "Shrink scene" coming soon - if it already hasnt happened; I had class last night and miss "Comedy Mondays on CBS" !
The shrink scene will be a crack up for sure !:chuckle: |
whenever Charlie's philandering ways come a demise so will the show...
I think the show's quite funny because of how wrong it is. It is the idea that any of that could actually happen what makes me chuckle. The only thing I do admire from Charlie is his nonchalance with women. I wished I could be like that sometimes...everything else he can have. |
