Now I regret sending the 292 back.

This sucks.

For those of you who don't recall, my AD let me borrow the 292 for a day while I tried to decide between that and the Daytona SS.

I love my SS Daytona - wouldn't rid myself of it for anything but the grail of grails... however, I do miss the 292. I'm thinking of placing myself on a list for it at my AD.

When will it stop?

this sickness (not really sickness...) will not end...and you know that!

As long as the "sickness" isn't putting any financial burden on you or your family then you're not really that sick. I say buy what makes you happy.

That 292 is a beauty - one of my favorite Panerais. But the SS Daytona is so frigging iconic that it is THE watch to have whether you're starting a collection or only keeping one. You absolutely made the right choice, friend - no question about that.

As you visit watch stores throughout your life you'll see a lot of cool watches that you have to have - but the SS Daytona will identify you immediately as a man who knows his timepieces. That is something the 292 could not do.

That said, the 292 is just too cool. Maybe someday it'll be mine, too.....:thumbsup:
