Hello hello new PAM...
After a short debate and created a poll... I finally got this...
I had the option of getting a sub-date or a vintage brown GMT with nipple dial... Trying all three on, I decided this is the best for me... And I think it sits well amongst my collection... :) I now think I am "complete" for the moment... I have a watch for almost every occassion I could wanted. http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/a...aemas/Rad5.jpg http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/a...aemas/Rad4.jpg http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/a...aemas/Rad3.jpg http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/a...aemas/Rad2.jpg http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/a...aemas/Rad1.jpg http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/a...as/RadLume.jpg And with that, I have 3 custom gator straps coming in from Lau & Van Ledjen. I recommend their straps highly! :D |
Looks Great!
|
Congratulations....I've always admired the lume on Panerai.!:thumbsup:
|
Norman, that looks great.
I really like the deployant strap you chose. I have a black on black Gator...sometimes I wish I had the one like yours with white stitching. Nice contrast. I've been thinking about Radiomirs...but alas, I am on a watch diet! |
Thanks guys...
Rob: Honestly, the PAINTED lume is quite a disappointment compared to the "sandwich lume". Comparing the two between my 352 (sandwich) and 287, my 287 dims down faster.. Are they using a different chemical or what? Funny. |

The white stitch gives it a nice border touch, since the strap on rads are quite wide, the stitching makes it look slimmer. Wait till you see my 3 gator straps that's coming in, in about 3 weeks time. I bet they're gonna look delicious. I ordered a blue, brown and a tan. :D |

This is why I enjoy this site, always something new to learn...:agree::thumbsup: |
Rob: Very interesting to me too, I have been notified by fellow Paneristis, that the Sandwich lume "lasts longer in the dark". Apparently, this seems to be very true.
What I heard was they use a thicker lume under the black dial, hence absorbing much more light and giving out better light in longer periods of time. I'm not sure that is exactly true or technically true, but apparently there is a noticable difference. |

I don't know the brand well enough,but do like their style! |
Rob: you should add one to your collection. I'm sure it won't disappoint! :)

I have a few members here already pushing me in that direction Norman!!:chuckle: I do like to look, but don't touch. Just like a woman(I'm married!):agree: Still, they are unique in the watch world and admired by many!!:cheers: |
Rob: Well do try one when you have time... (The watch, not the woman hahahaha). And you'll be in a for a treat... be prepared though, you might have to shell out some dime for it.
