My Rolex artwork.. 14060M Submariner

Evening all.. I hope everyone's okay this evening.

I've been on here since late 2009, but not so prolific as I've had a busy couple of years.

Another hobby of mine, as well as watches, is drawing with black ink, using Rotring art and graphic pens.

My usual medium is motorcycle GP racers, and my favourite which are motorcycle speedway racers.

I often indulge in other quirky stuff too.

I thought I'd have a pop at doing a watch piece, and had a go at a no date 2 liner 14060M.

Hope you don't mind me sharing it with the group.

It's the same image.. but from two angles.

Thanks mate... most appreciated.

On average, with them being large, you're looking at around 30 hours per piece, with the dotwork involved.

I do requests and commissions, yes.

Cool

I am a motorcycle enthusiast as well, and on my motorcycle Forum, a member did a drawing of a popular model, and made prints for sale. Well how could I resist :chuckle: Very nice hang in the garage :agree:

Would you be able to do a limited run of say a 100 Sea Dweller sketches? I'm sure they would sell, I'll buy one :read:

Aye.. I'm sure that I could make that my next piece, or a 'soon to do piece,' the main thing would be sourcing the best pictures, with the best pixellation to work from.

I love the Sea Dweller, and would love to have a go.

Awesome work! I used to do a lot of pen and ink work when I was younger, but haven't lately. I should really pick that hobby back up. Thanks for sharing.

I can totally appreciate these. They came out fantastic. What size are the originals? Back in architecture school, for Presentation classes, we had to draw and shade building renderings in ink also; using the same "point" techniques you use. Back then most of us used Rapidograph pens; "0", "00", "000"... One "point" in the wrong place, or with the wrong size pen, and multiple hours down the drain... usually happened in the middle of the night too.
