Rolex Ladies Datejust from 1980's
 

I was thinking about selling my rolex, unfortunately my sister borrowed it awhile back and returned it to me with water damage to the dial. While I was researching the resale prices of rolexs I haven't come across any that have the same dial as mine. Can anyone tell me why that might be?

Maybe it is an older dial and not in production anymore. I personally haven't seen one with the gold markers like that before.

Do you know if watch dials with this type of damage can be restored to like new condition?

I would think that the dial would need to be replaced. You may want to take it to a RSC to get an estimate and see if they can replace with a similar dial. The biggest problem that I can see is that if you had water damage, that may mean that your movement is in need of repair as well (possible rust damage or washing away the oils). The watch is going to need to be serviced either way. As to whether the dial can be salvaged may be better answered by some of our resident experts (Nick, Jocke, etc.).

Well the dial could be restored by a expert don't think I can recall seeing a dial like that one.
