Is this an authentic OEM strap?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer...wanted a second/third/fourth opinion though.

Note: it's not mine, nor am I selling it or endorsing its sale in any way. I'm trying to do some homework before I do something stupid.

Yes, looks oem. Would be better if the strap is out of the packaging to be really certain...

Here's a couple of pics of it out of the packaging:

I think my main concerns are that I can't find that reference code anywhere, that I never knew Panerai to make a 24/24 strap that didn't have a sewn-in buckle, and it has round holes.

I suspect it might be a fake. Normally the holes are not round but bullet shaped.

Agreed, I've never seen anything but oval holes on OEM.

i don't have warm and fuzzies...the hide just looks wrong on the OEM...the OEM vintage line has less gloss...and the hole is all wrong...

Explorertwo 4 March 2012 05:30 PM

It looks different on the points you mention from my OEM vintage....
Wouldn't go for it.

Shade 4 March 2012 07:37 PM

Panerai never make round punch holes.
