My SD and it's cousins showing off in the dark
 

Heres my little collection consisting of the 16600, JB 50th Anniversary Seamaster, Gemini IV Speedy, and Superocean GMT with green ltd. ed. bezel.

I thought it would be fun to take a pic of the lume. Notice the sweeping second had of the SD, showing a 30 second exposure.

Now, what should I get to round out the collection...:thinking:

real nice photo! out of interest why is the brietling second hand not showing any sweep? presumably it's running as its showing the same
time as the SD?

Ah, nice observation. It is running, but the sweep is there too. The second hand is just really thin so it doesn't show up as bright as the dot on the SD's second hand.
I had to take a look at my full size photos to spot it. There is a 180 degree sweep from 3pm to 9pm. Take a look at the date window, just below it you will see a light colored band between the 4pm mark and the crosshatch pattern that encircles the dial. The light colored band goes from below the date window to the 9pm stick indicator. It looks slightly thicker on the 9pm side because of the angle of the photo.

I did two rather straightforward things in Photoshop:
I cropped and resized it so I could upload it to TRF, and then applied a cooling filter to reduce the yellow tint.

i guess that shows the quality of the camera then in that case!

which do you find gets the most wrist time?

How is the SD on the wrist in comparison to the 007? as presumably the smp wears thinner?

I used a NEX-7, which is a great little travel camera. The last watch I bought gets the most wrist time, lol.
I just compared the two, weighed them too. The Omega was 5.8oz and SD was 5.1oz. The Omega is also just a little thinner.
I wore them back to back and I have to say the Omega feels less case-heavy, sitting on my wrist just a little more comfortably, even though it is heavier than the SD. When I move my arm around with the SD on, I can tell something substantial is there. I think maybe the case of the SD is heavier, while the bracelet (especially the clasp) of the Seamaster is heavier. So the Omega's weight seems more evenly distributed. I'm still going to where my SD more though :thumbsup:
