Made an order of 372!???

Hi guys, i made an order of 372 after i tried it on last week and saw it on my asian friend's wrist. It'll come on next weekend from a friend. It's big watch, but it's thinner and more comfortable than my 233. The dial is very classic/vintage looking (as the way i expected for a casual wear to go with my other watches.). The strap is very comfortable and good looking. i should take the pic when i looked at it in the mirror tho. Also, my wife said it's beautiful watch, but a lil bit big. And my friend said "go for it". ThoughtS/OpinionS???? Thanks!!!

P.s. i'll go try pam a 424 and 425 and see how i like them. and hope they have 448 and 449 there too, so i can also try them as well..

here in brasil we don't care the size of the watches, you like it, buy it.
you choose some of the nicest watches, imho.

TAKUYA 6 November 2012 09:39 AM

that's exactly what my friend said. they seem like don't care about the size any more in HK. He said the big watch is for casual wear/everyday wear, and it looks much better than small watch in that case. He also showed me the pic of the girl/boy (have small small wrist) that wore pam 233 with the red strap:

I like it but it does look at little big on your wrist.

TAKUYA 6 November 2012 09:45 AM

that's exactly what my "boss" said

Survivor 6 November 2012 09:52 AM

Maybe a 390 for someone with such a tiny wrist as yourself might work better

that's what i thought. but 372 looks much much nicer than 390 in many ways, imo. i'll go try 47mm Rads, then will see.

You know what I say :) But i'm biased lol

Congratulations - assuming "order" means you're buying it

I also had the 372 on and agree, it "sits" cleaner on the wrist than any other Luminor-base case.

Personally, in my free time I wear long-sleeve shirts on all but the hottest days and I'll roll the sleeve up with one, maybe two turns max. If you wear a 372 with a long-sleeve shirt, everything will be in synch, optically-speaking. Only Arnie & Sly types should try that with a Polo* (imho).

*Your arms better be padded in muscle... otherwise it doesn't really work even if you have an 8" wrist, does it...

TAKUYA 6 November 2012 10:34 AM

@VIE: i know what you meant. but most asian guys are not muscular lol.

@Martin: i like everything from that pic, even ///M key cover as well.

Cru Jones 6 November 2012 10:38 AM

It's all in personal style and how you wear and how you like it, but, since you asked, yes, to me, that looks a bit big for you. But, whatever floats your boat!

Not so sure I came across correctly - no one has to be muscular to wear a 47mm PAM, just wear clothes that fit to it

What size is your wrist? 6"?

My wrist is between 6.25 - 6.5 inches.

nishant 6 November 2012 11:04 AM

The Lugs are hanging over ... U can wear anything you wish but you ask any NON-372 Smitten Human Being and they will tell you it looks a bit funny on your wrist .. A 44mm case would definitely look better proportioned !!!

"ThoughtS/OpinionS???? Thanks!!!"

Nice watch...WAY TOO BIG on that wrist in picture IMHO

tuisquash 6 November 2012 11:21 AM

you don't need a big wrist, you just need attitude.
buy it and be happy.

ps; if you don't like it, send to me.lol

Trailblazer 6 November 2012 11:51 AM

A flat wrist shot wont do any justice to you or THE watch..hehehe...go shoot a full or half body shot in front of a mirror, that gives a better pic than a flat wrist snap

iLLGT2 6 November 2012 12:20 PM

While yes his picture depicts the watch to be a little big for his wrist, I really think in closeup pictures i've seen, it shows the watch to look/appear much bigger than it actually is...Like take this first picture i'm about to post, for instance.. My wrist is over 7" like 7.25? Not sure, not huge wrists by any means, and very small jointed for my body (i'm 6'2, 260 bodybuilder build, lean 260 with abs lol) so I can pull off the watch compared to my body no doubt..
Check this, the angle makes it look as if it's drooping over wrist

Now check out this pic, the angle makes this piece look tiny on my 'humongous' wrist, not the case!

And a very accurate picture

On me?!?!? NAH BRO.... Just like I said, picture's just don't accurately show how it wears...

The lugs only come over the wrist on either side a few mm's if that, not bad !

I hear ya...To each his own but lugs should never EVER go over the wrist....
We laugh at that 'round here!

TAKUYA 6 November 2012 12:46 PM

It looks good on Martin tho. i'll go try 47mm Rads, and let see. but since i've already made an order of it. So i have to try to take some mirror pics with it. Thanks guys for opinions/thoughts/pics as well.

P.s. i seem like to wear a big watch now after i saw a few my uncle's friends wearing Rolex Subc and hulk. somehow they don't look tempting to me anymore and too small tho, just imo.

Palmasea 6 November 2012 12:56 PM

Yes too big...buy only if its comfortable to you!

Imho, it does look to big...but It's not how it looks that I would be concerned with...
s rew everyone - if you like the watch - thats all that matters...
but if you are bumping the watch against everything and it does not feel comfortable...why buy it?
I think Robs suggestinon that you look at a pam 390 is dead on!

maeisenberg 6 November 2012 01:05 PM

It's your wrist, if it fits comfortably, go for it. I tried it for a week, decided it was not for me, went back to my 233.

DiverAsia 6 November 2012 02:26 PM

I think you know my opinion. My wrist is just a bit bigger than yours. How the 372 sits makes it feel very comfortable despite the size.

I think you will get it and wear it and love it.
Congratulations!
Can not wait to hear how you like it once it is on your wrist.

As we say around here, the bigger the better.

TAKUYA 6 November 2012 03:29 PM

Thanks guys! i'll go try 47mm Rad and let see which i like more.

iDuc 6 November 2012 06:11 PM

I had the 390 and traded it for the 372 which I always wanted but thought was too big. I have tiny wrists, but don't care and it looks good to me.

The Panerai watches are large, but especially when wearing long sleeves it doesn't matter at all. Buy the watch for yourself, I am glad I traded up although the 390 is beautiful the 372 is just nicer all around :)

what strap is this? is this the Olterra by Mario Paci? really suits the watch

to the OP i'v seen numerous 372 sitting on wrists between 6-6.5 inches

from an observation viewpoint clearly this watch looks huge on any 6.5 inch wrist but who cares?

it's up to the individual to be able to "pull it off"

and only you can decide this
