[Question]Rolex oyster perpetual date
Well, hello to everyone, I'll like you to help me, my grandfather just left me a Rolex he had for many years but as I'm not an expert with this kind of watches, I'm wondering whether it is a real Rolex or not, because, well, as it is old, it doesn't look in a good condition; the part where the outer numbers are (don't know how is it called) looks washed out because of the use and well, I don't really think that's normal for a Rolex, but I really don't know, what do you guys think?

Sorry, but fake.

Just for my education, what are the features or aspects of the picture that tell you it's a fake?
|
Ouch. Bad junker.

The easiest way to see its fake, is that the cyclops don't magnify. The typeface on the date wheel is wrong. The crown is too big. The markers are off. |

Another grandfather bought a fake watch? What a string of terrible luck for grandfathers. I don't believe they've ever purchased a legit watch.
