Panerai 512 price and thoughts - maybe incoming!
 

Hey guys

Never thought I'd add a Panerai to the collection, but the 42mm 1940 (PAM512) is really growing on me. Thin, sandwiched, and transitional lugs with holes are all a big plus. :cheers:

Just not too keen on the faux tritium LL and patina, but I think the pros outweigh the cons. This may just be my first "fun" watch in a long time!

List is $7800. Was this reference excluded from Feb's 5% price cut?
AD offered 20% + tax on a Q serial. Do you think I should take the plunge or could better AD deals be had?

Seems like a crazy good discount, but I don't know the market for the 512.

As for the watch itself, it's almost perfect, but the fauxtina completely throws me off. :-(
