This beautiful and excellent condition JLC Réveil Automatique Master Control 1000 Hours wristwatch dates to 2000. It comes as a complete package with boxes, papers, booklets, hangtag, and the original ostrich strap and metal bracelet (see pictures). The mechanical alarm is one of the nicest sound of any wrist alarms I've heard owing to the specially-designed bronze-alloy gong wound around the caseback that the alarm hammer strikes against.
The 39 mm steel case has the gold Master Control 1000 Hours case back, concave and curved lugs, stepped bezel, alarm winding-crown at 2 o'clock, time-setting and winding-crown at 4 o'clock, and sapphire crystal. The satin silver dial features applied Arabic numerals and faceted dart indexes, luminous dot seconds, inner revolving disc to set the alarm, aperture for the date, and luminous steel dauphine hands. The movement is the JLC self-winding Calibre 918, 22 Jewels
JLC made these in limited numbers, and this was the predecessor to the current Master Memovox. Research indicates that JLC probably produced fewer than 5,000 Master Réveil across its 9-year production run - so a complete set with ostrich strap and steel bracelet is hard to find.
