Help Authenticating Rolex Explorer II 16570
 

I've decided to purchase my first rolex, and after a lot of research, I've settled on a polar Rolex Explorer II 16570.

I found a reasonable deal from a seller that by all indications seems trustworthy and legitimate. There have been no red flags, however, given the ubiquity of issues that seem to arise when dealing with second-hand rolexes, I want to be absolutely sure.

If you all could look at the pictures and give me your thoughts, I would very much appreciate your expertise.

The one thing that slightly bothers me (and this may be the angle / all in my head) ... but the cyclops looks either off center or slightly too big.

The watch in the pictures looks good, and the cyclops issue you speak of is just the angle of the pictures taken IMO.

Most important however, is to find a reputable seller with an exemplary record of sales. Don't trust just anyone, as you could likely end up with something other than what is being shown in pictures if you are not careful!

Watch looks good, cyclops magnification is off, maybe the crystal has been replaced?

I appreciate the input. I was told that everything was original ... seems like a big red flag if the cyclops has been replaced.

Thoughts from anyone else?

On my watches, the date looks "offset" when viewed from above (just like in the photos). However, on my wrist, the cyclops does its job. The date is centered and magnified. I believe the cyclops is designed for viewing at 45 degrees, not at 90 degrees.
