I´d only be worried when your 5167 stops making these sounds.

Gus, I had never noticed that your avatar is animated until last week, it's freaking me out a bit!

mps354 26 March 2016 01:58 AM

im technologically challenged, i somehow figured out how to make it move but couldn't for the life of me figure out how to loop it continuously …

i don't think i could do it again if i tried

AK797 26 March 2016 03:26 AM

Abdullasaif 27 March 2016 12:05 AM

uri40 27 March 2016 04:39 AM

thanks

eco8gator 27 March 2016 09:59 AM

I was startled the first time I heard it as well...I thought I broke something but I read up and found that the buzz is normal.

Tan 27 March 2016 11:21 PM

Yes, and it happens on the 5711 as well. 324 movement.

sirish19 29 March 2016 04:54 AM

Perfectly normal and I love it. I often find myself spinning it right next to my ear when I need a little pick-me-up. I also find that it makes the winding mechanism of my Rolex and AP a bit crude and brutish, haha.

how loud is it, out of curiosity?

do you need to be in a silent room/in bed etc? or could it be heard by for instance someone sitting next to you at a meeting?

If you are listening for it you can hear it. Someone sitting next to you might hear it if the room was quiet. It's subtle, but once you notice it you start picking up on it more often.

I just bought a 5167 last week. I find myself lifting it up to my ear throughout the day to hear the sound. I love it.

Completely normal.

I've actually come to enjoy the 'whirrr' noise...

stockjock1975 25 April 2016 11:56 AM

As others have said, it's perfectly normal. Unacceptable on a high-end piece from one of the world's top manufacturers (IMO)....but normal nonetheless.
