Natural instinct dictates a black strap with a contrasty stitch eg white, cream etc. I have a very nice black with white stitch strap, but this simple all black strap, looks fantastic with the 104  The 104 is really well suited to a black strap.Perhaps that why Panerai also releases it with a black alligator.
Yet,undetermined in my mind is the choice of length, the use of 115/75 lengths.Almost anyone, buying an aftermarket/custom strap goes longer, even those with average sized wrists.

Very nice macro pix.

With the G9 I would guess?

Oh yes, that little Canon G9 is a gem !! Used aperture priority.Around F2.8-5.0 for shallow depth of field.Nice when in aperture priority, the turndial is easy to use to control aperture setting and exposure levels(+/-).I have found that some underexposure, really brings out the character of stainless steel ,lets colour stand out a bit more in a monotone field, with tungsten light source and just ad that bit of mystery to a watch pic. All of these handheld and the I.S. sure is handy.
