Silly me ... I thought you'd climbed a mountain with your Rolex on... :dummy:

I would think that a Rolex has been at the summit of Mount Everest many times. I know Ed Visteurs (the best American Mountaineer ever) is sponsored by Rolex and wears an Explorer II on his expedition. He climbed to the summit of Everst 7 times, and also to the summit of each of the 8,000ers (the only American to do so), although he summitted several 8,000ers before getting sponsored by Rolex, so I don't think he took the Explorer II on all his summit bids. http://i67.tinypic.com/2l6ts9.jpg His story is pretty amazing, I've read all his books and they are awesome. If you want to learn more about this guy but hate reading, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqTcD9Amfq4 |
How does the Everest strap compare to the Rubber B? Anyone have both? I've got a Rubber B on my new Explorer II polar, the strap has the orange pin stripe accent which really pops with the dial on the new 42 mm Explorer II.

That looks really nice!

Here's a new old stock Everest strap on my platinum YM. This was the last grey strap Everest had for the YM. CHEERS Jim. http://i760.photobucket.com/albums/x...98eb3edbc5.jpg
