5271p vs 5270r
Which model will you choose? Could you suggest me?

5271P for me
|
Go big. I think the diamonds are very tastefully done.

Of these two, 5270r, and I love platinum watches. I personally think the diamonds are a little too much on this piece. Diamond markers only, perhaps. YMMV.

The clasp is a nice touch. However, IMHO, if you have reservations about the amount of diamonds on the case/bezel, I would not compromise on a purchase of this size. My 2-cents. [emoji106][emoji106] |
5270R for me. Warm and beautiful. Frankly 5970P would trump all for me.

I try to buy 5270P and 5271P or 5270R. Give more business to Jamie. Now I already decide no G for me because I am going to buy a P in the future. |

Just think. Is it too much diamonds for 5271P? |
If I lived in Asia I would think about the 5271p, I think it's cool and quite daring. If you spent a lot of time in Europe or the USA I think it's fair to say that most men there would not want to be seen wearing a diamond encrusted watch in which case I would go for 5270r.
It's funny however to compare these 2 watches as they are so incredibly different in terms of look. May I suggest a 5970p which would be admired the world over? The dial of the 5970 also has better symmetry between the top and lower halves. Find a picture of a 5270 that does not have the hands at 10 past 10 and I think you will find there is too much space in the top half. This comes from the sub dials being below the equator on the 5270. I'm fastening my seat belt here, but I don't think the 5270 will be revered by collectors in the long run for that reason. |
