Finally Got the Rolex I Really Wanted

I own some other nice watches from other luxury brands, but never pulled the trigger on a Rolex until this year.

Did my homework and ultimately went with a 116610 mainly due to reviews, history, value retention, etc, etc.

However, I always lusted after the 216570 polar. Every time I looked at the sub I appreciated its history, the features, knowing I could trade it for a cheap used car to escape the state on a moment's notice, but I couldn't stop kind of wishing for it to be an Exp II.

Fortunately, DavidSW (can't say enough positive things) was there to help me work an agreeable trade all around for a brand new Polar and I couldn't be happier.

Just goes to show - go with your gut the first time when it comes to watches and women!

I know, pics or get out, right? And yes, I've already put a couple knicks in the bezel (St Patrick's day strikes again). Oh well, character I guess.

Congratulations. Looks great. I always thought if I could only have one it would be a Submariner but after several years with the Explorer II I am not sure.

If I can save up, a no date Sub, and a Polar like yours are on the list. Nice watch!
