The Richest Person In Each State

Larry which one are you?

Star Ferry 28 June 2017 10:45 AM

very impressive that nearly 90% of states have a billionaire.. a lot of which are rural and not very populated.

locutus49 28 June 2017 10:51 AM

Geez, now which TRF member is listed? Maybe someone who likes Richard Mille....

:chuckle: I'm not on the list. I thought it was interesting how they published the list by state and seriously how may Billions does one person need?

Why don't they just use their Cayman and Swiss numbered company corporation stamps? There isn't a looker in the bunch.

SDRider 28 June 2017 01:29 PM

Unless I'm one of them I really don't care.

breitlings 28 June 2017 02:39 PM

Not sure this is right for MD and VA. They don't list DC either.

There was a doco recently where Oliver Stone interviewed Vladimir Putin and suggested to him that he was the world's richest man. Vlad just smiled and avoided the question.

He'd be right up there, and I'm guessing he gets favourable tax treatment :chuckle:

That they know of

A fella I know, Jack, worships people with wealth. Jack was thrilled to tell me that the person who used to live next to him inherited a billion+ and was now the richest person in the state. Jack liked to brag about knowing someone who was rich but acted like the guy next door ...

Guy next door? Some of my neighbors have a flea in their ears!

wantonebad 28 June 2017 10:57 PM

There are people who live part time in the Berkshires and Nantucket who pass Abigail Johnson, but I'm guessing this is based on percentage of time spent in the state or their declared state of residence?

I know one guy in a big white house who is steaming mad now that he didn't make the list.
