Put a deposit down on a new motorcycle

I'm doing less riding these days and have decided to sell my big touring bike. I think this will do the job for me now.

Picture from the web, but the same bike and color.

Congrats

Looks almost the same as when I bought one in 1968.

Except for some minor changes of course. :chuckle:

cop414 10 July 2017 09:16 PM

Now that is super cool! Ride safe.

Nice scoot....The love bugs hit a lot harder without a windshield:}

What a classic. Reminds me of a mid-1960s bike. Something about the seat design and the chrome grab rail. The cylinder heads and pipes. My Honda '71 CL also comes to mind.

I can almost smell the rubber and burnt oil, superheated metals and hydrocarbons, off that image!

axjimenez 10 July 2017 11:28 PM

Very nice! That is a beauty!

Danny83 10 July 2017 11:33 PM

Thats a nice one

SDRider 10 July 2017 11:48 PM

I haven't ridden any of the Triumphs personally but that is a cool looking bike for sure.

I'm more of a Ducati guy myself. Congrats though. Keep the rubber side down.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm really looking forward to getting it. I haven't been excited about a motorcycle in a long time.

It's a 2018 Bonneville T-120.

wantonebad 11 July 2017 12:35 AM

Great great bikes Triumph!! Love them! That's the only bike I would consider these days.

East Bay Rider 11 July 2017 01:00 AM

Excellent
That looks like a fun little runabout. Enjoy

EDIT: I just looked up the specs online. That thing will get you into trouble for sure if you want it to. Looks like a great time every time.

encarter13 11 July 2017 01:35 AM

Beautiful! I love the classic Cafe Racer styling of the Triumph.

sickened1 11 July 2017 02:32 AM

Whaa, you have a '68 Bonneville?

locutus49 11 July 2017 03:34 AM

I remember in the 60's they were Triumph 650's. Look similar to yours, but yours is probably much faster.

Headshrinker 11 July 2017 03:42 AM

I love the classic Triumphs. It brings back great memories when my neighbor would give us rides around the block on his Triumph.

Congrats!!!!!

I love Triumph.. I want to do the motorcycle test soon (can't ride them on a car license here) any recommendation for a first bike?? Are Triumph hard to ride for a newbie?

ezmarr 11 July 2017 04:57 AM

Congrats! I have a 2013 Speed Triple SE - hardly get on the thing anymore. It only has just over 8,000 miles...have considered selling it...but it's soo pretty.
