Is it safe to hack the P5000 movement?

I have a brand new PAM610 and PAM563. Essentially the same movement with a seconds hand showing on the 563. On the 610 it is irrelevant, but on the 563 I was wondering if it was safe to hack the second hand to sync it with a known time (as you would a Speedmaster with gentle reverse traction of the crown).

I haven’t played with it yet, but wanted to see what the consensus was. It is also my understanding that these movements are not COSC certified. My 610 certainly gains time over the 8 day reserve. I haven’t checked the 563 yet. I don’t expect Rolex accuracy as they are hand wound. Just curious to hear others’ experience.

It was meant to be hacked for that very reason. I don’t think you can set the time without hacking the movement.

I saw a youtube review of a pam with p5000 and they mentioned that it can be hacked using reverse. I just got a 564 and hacked it using that method also. I think it’s fine to do it.
