Loud Rotor on Pam1024

Hey guys , I just bought a Pam1024 my first from one of sites that sells preowned and new never worn watches. They are not authorized dealers but watch enthusiasts and collectors. The watch came with everything and a stamped warranty card from a AD in Spain.

I noticed that when I hold the watch and spin it around the rotor seems loud. The only thing I have to compare it to is my Bremont and Breitling Super Ocean. They make noise also but not as loud as the Pam1024.

Is this normal for the Pam? Thanks in advance.

I would say it is normal. My 523 has a very loud rotor too. At first, I was worried just like you thinking my watch had a defect. I took it back to my authorized dealer and listened to a few others and they sounded the same as mine. My other watches are much quieter but I have grown to love the raspy sound it makes.

Yup, I've noticed this on the Panerai automatics. As well as Omega DSOM, GSOM etc. It has something to do with ceramic bearings that do not use any lubricant. I may not be recollecting this accurately...
