Incoming! My long awaited Boutique Blue!
This all started in early 2017 when I put my name down on the "interested" list at the NYC boutique. At that point all the 2017 slots were spoken for and my Sales Specialist said he would get in touch with me when they were able to start accepting deposits for 2018 allocations. Like promised, I got a phone call in January of this year and put down a 25% deposit for a blue 15400ST. That's when the real wait began.
I got the lucky text message this past Friday! :dude: This is my first AP although I've been a fan of the brand for quite a while ... I was even at the 40th anniversary party for the RO in 2012 at the NYC Park Ave Armory. Thanks, guys! :cheers: The 15400 is definitely the best model for me to get my feet wet with AP. I'm very glad I decided to be patient and wait for the blue dial. It's hard to stop staring at it. :chuckle: I'm sure I'll set my sights on an ROO in the future.
Also, for anyone that is wondering, my wrist is 7.25"+ ... the boutique took out one link and the fit is good (maybe ever so slightly snug). In the summer months I might have to take out a second link and add the 1.5 link to get a comfortable fit ... We'll see. Quote:
