TT yellow vs Rose
For those who don’t typically like TT yellow gold watches, does TT rose gold change your mind?
|
I've always liked TT watches. I really didn't care for the Everose Gold when Rolex first started using it, but after seeing it in person, I'm definitely a fan.
|
I like both two tones. Yellow gold entirely is good,no objection to platinum or white gold, just that they look like steel, but cost more. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4a73891b90.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c1f87dbd99.jpg

Like both/all. Preference usually depends on the watch or available dial combinations.

Yellow gold/SS Rolex DJ or sub is an iconic design.
|
I wasn't a fan of TT watches in theory, until I tried on my first Sub - now it is my go to watch and the commencement of my Rolex addiction...
I'm not sure whether my next one will be a solid gold Sub or TT Yachtmaster II... first world problems... |
Yes, the rg melts into the ss in certain angles and is less bling overall.
|
I prefer yellow gold. To me and I’m sure many will disagree, I feel rose gold or evereose is trendy.

I prefer the TT Everose Gold. Just bought the DJ41 TT Everose Gold and I love it.

TT with Rose Gold is much nicer in my opinion (CHNR is a great example)
|
I never liked Full gold watches or TT until I first set eyes on a Rolex TT in RG. I don't think I will ever own a YG watch but that's just my opinion and shouldn't matter to others.

My story is: I wore a Bluesy for 18 years. I was moving away from yellow gold after all that time and went into all SS for 2 years. Then the 2018 Baselworld hit me like a brick when I saw the CHNR. It appealed to me in a way yellow gold didn’t and even though I was moving away from anything in yellow gold, the Everose was a completely different animal. Where I felt yellow gold was flat and more directly in-your-face flashy, the Everose had depth and warmth to it yellow gold doesn’t possess. 18 years of yellow gold and I needed a change, Everose gave my that change and pulled me back into a pm watch. Yellow gold and Everose are completely different animals as much as white gold is to yellow gold.

It’s not for me but I think it looks great. I tried a 116613LB and traded it two months later for a steel GMT, yellow gold is just not me. I like Rose Gold but only on cases (I would probably wear a RG Daytona or RG Royal Oak on a leather strap) but gold of any sort on the bracelet is just too much for me.
But as I say. On the right person it looks great and I can appreciate it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Both are nice all depends on configuration & dial
|
They both look nice to me, but I'm not too sure if Rose Gold will have staying power like the YG.
|
The rose gold is very sharp...perhaps he’s my skin tone that I think yellow gold looks best.

to me it is all about design not the color of PM. I am not a TT fan but can consider bluesy or CHNR. These are the only two TT I can imagine buying.
