Oysterquartz 17000 (1994)

Hi, Gentleman’s, ))) A few months ago I bough a Rolex OYSTERQUARTZ 17000 (year 1994) perfect condition. It was immediately sent at Rolex FRANCE for a complete service and to have a minimum of documents.

Here are some photos))

The bracelet’s massif, perfectly well the wrist, broad towards the case and narrow towards the clasp, which allows a pleasant freedom of movement of the hand. And I like the design so much!

In conclusion I can say that the watch is extraordinary, by his comfort and originality of the design, with dimensions and the dial of the Eighties. Considering, that the bracelets are still available on order (250 euros average), a new one had been ordered at WEMPE Madeleine Paris.

If someone has some information about caliber 5035 it will be great to share it ))

Best regards

Beautiful Oyster-Quartz, enjoy it  However your clasp is not original and is incorrect for a 17000 bracelet, yours came from a 78360 bracelet. :read:

Nice Oysterquartz!

Does it's ticking keep you awake at night? It's so loud!

Thanks very much for this important precision, Wolfgang
I'll try to find more about this bracelet

Thanks, guys for yours congratulations :bye:
I use an old (3-4? years) Sony SyberShot 5.2 MB. With gasp to slip.
Mode auto everywhere, even the zoom. Only chose mode macro and switch off the flash. All the other modes are less detailed and it's difficult to find a correct focus.
I tried different kinds of cameras, but only this one is correct for price between 300 and 450 euros. My point of view, of course :bye:

Wonderful watch. I never appreciated the OysterQuartz until I did some research and found out how unique it is.

mr_happy_ending 13 February 2009 10:28 AM

that is a great looking watch. I'm a little confused.... was the watch left new at the dealer for all of these years? and are you the first owner, or is it pre-loved? could you please tell us what you paid for it?

Also, does the second hand sweep like automatic movements or does it tick-tick like most quartz watches?

Thanks!

Lion 13 February 2009 10:50 AM

Enjoy your beautiful watch and wear it with pride, remember you are worth it!!!

Stratton 13 February 2009 01:28 PM

Great watch!! Hope you enjoy it very much.
I got a similar one, and may be it would be of your interest to read a post I sent some time ago:
http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=63775

Ticking is surprisingly loud and characteritic, isn´t it?

I found the oysterquartz.net web page, a very comprehensive and interesting web site were to find info about this Rolex variant, including about its movement.

Thanks for sharing your new watch!!
Kind regards, Abel
