I wouldn't say it is a fake. It just depends on the person writing it. Some would spell out the month, some wont. Just depends on the AD's sales person. I don't think there is a particular standard. One of my card is mm-dd-yyyy and another is m-d-yy from the same AD and the same sales person.

i have never understood the US way.

Where 12/1/19 is the same as 1/12/19?:chuckle:

The logical order is day - month - year.

Shine a UV light on the card and see if the hidden ROLEX ROLEX appear.

warranty card date dd-mmm-yyyy format in hongkong AD

There are a couple of different date formats around the world printed on the card. A few I've seen:

US: MM/DD/YYYY
Canada: YYYY/MM/DD
UK/Europe: DD.MM.YYYY
Hong Kong: DD-MMM-YYYY

Then it's up to the person filling them in correctly. I've had a Canadian card simply filled out as e.g. "December 2017" with no actual date.

The fonts on the warranty card also differ sometimes. US/Canadian cards also come with the bracelet/dial information, while many others don't have that info printed, just the model and serial.

Here is a Canadian card with a different format as an example:

Oh ok. That part. That part on both of my watches have mm-dd-yyyy. Maybe since I bought it in US. That is the US format.

This might help. Didn't know this part. Cool trick.

Hard to say the warranty card is fake or not. Best bet would be go to a local AD or RSC (if you have one in the area) and get it swiped to check the authenticity!

Chow Sang Sang is a Rolex AD in Hong Kong. This warranty card showed 888 on the top right corner. That meant it is a Rolex from Hong Kong. Looks like everything is in order.
dd-mmm-yyyy is the way that Hong Kong lists date. This is due to the British influence as Hong Kong was a Crown Colony.

Your card looks absolutely legit. The printed date format varies across countries, and ADs don’t follow the suggested format anyway.
