My son gave me a portable light box for my birthday this month. I couldn't wait to try it out.
I need one more overhead light to just fill in the dials a little bit more.

Nice pics! That light box makes a huge difference.

Great shots

What kind of lighting are you using?

Dan Pierce 25 March 2009 11:05 PM

Great setup, Eddie!! One suggestion: buy a Rolex watch stand. They really help capture cool angles to photograph.

THe 'lightbox' came with two 36 watt halogens and I set up a maggylamp ring fluoro above. You can see the reflection in some of the pix. I will try some with the ring light above the box material and see if that stops the reflections.

You know what tickles my fancy:

I had all these on my wrist and I envy you!!:clap::clap:

Gedanken 19 May 2009 11:18 PM

Nice shots, Eddie!

Suggestion: leaving the lights where they are, move the watches back further so the light's coming from the front rather than the side. From the shots, youcan also afford to turn your exposure compensation up by at least 2/3 of a stop.

nice pics. like Gedanken says - looks like you were using the auto setting on your camera. i suggest turning it to manual mode and letting the shutter open up a bit longer and manually focusing the camera on the watch itself... you'll be able to get MUCH better shots.
