FS: Omega Speedmaster Professional 145.022-76 ST from 1978

True story. I was having dinner with friends and someone brought up watches and I started freaking out inside because I love watches and no one in my normal group of friends ever is interested in watches. My one buddy says, "Did you know that you can buy the same Rolex that went to the moon?" And I reach for my wrist and unbuckle my watch and slap it on the table and say, "It wasn't a Rolex. It was an Omega. Have a look." He proceeds to read the back of the case text out loud in shock "THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON."
After that conversation, I swore I'd never sell this beauty with all of its history. But here we are. My watch collection has expanded and I don't wear this one nearly as much as I should. This watch really needs no introduction. I prefer it greatly to the more modern pieces. Please look at all the pictures and videos for condition detail. There is one issue with the chronograph. It works fine but sometimes it resets at -1 sec. Sometimes at +1 sec. I asked around on the internet when I got it and no one seemed to think it was a serious issue. Compared to all the other Speedmasters I have seen, I think this one holds up very well, maybe better than most condition wise. Reference: 145.022-76 ST Movement: Caliber 861 Serial: 399X, which is why I believe it to be 1975. Looks like this is 1978 according to this website. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Case: Shows signs of wear and small nicks. Very good for its age. Bracelet: I love this bracelet. Original 1171 with 633 endlinks Bezel: has some nicks. Running strong at +0 to +3 seconds. No service history. Asking $3795 + a label. Comps on Chrono24 are $4200-$7800. Prefer wire, but can take Paypal F&F or venmo with references. |
Reduced to $3,750.
