Suggestion for a First Timer?

Hello Pam lovers. I am interested in a 40mm titanium, aside from 282, what other choices do I have?

Trurolexer 9 April 2009 02:27 PM

Why not try for 44mm?

TswaneNguni 9 April 2009 03:23 PM

No on 40,big yes on 44,45 and 47 :thumbsup::cheers:

If you have doubts about the size then 40mm is a good compromise, there are many nice 40mm models out there, the 48, 49 and 50 are all 40mm and just like their 44mm counterparts, and the 282 is lovely, there's also my personal favourites, the 72 and 74, which are the chono versions which look lovely.

If you are worried you won't get away with a 44mm then it's always worth trying them in the shop, i had the same thoughts about 44mm but after biting the bullet and buying one i've been wearing them ever since, they feel very comfy on the wrist with the leather straps, and the cases sit nicely, yes it looks a bit big but you get used to it after a while, here's an example of a 40mm and a 44mm on a 6.75" wrist.

Ryan, your 233 looks great on that JV. :thumbsup:

my wife has 5.5" wrists and use my pams (44 and 45), and the used market to biggers pams are much better.

Go 44. It looks big but fits the wrist (of any size) quite nicely.

GBJIV 10 April 2009 03:18 PM

I agree completely... Go 44 you won't be disappointed...

Is that Brown Strap on the 233 OEM? Looks great...

argee1977 10 April 2009 06:27 PM

That's the OEM JV, i did a bit of a bad thing though, i gave it a clean at the weekend and have to say it looked better with the aged look, that'll be another few months before it gets back to that colour :crying:

Lets put it this way ....

If you buy a 40,your next one will be a 44
If you buy a 44,your next one will be a 44

Get the picture ?? :thumbsup:

The problem is "next one",and the one after that and the one after that ... ..... because it rarely stays at one !!! :chuckle::thumbsup:

For me, I more choose 104.:thumbsup:

tuisquash 12 April 2009 12:29 PM

104 for me.

GBJIV 12 April 2009 03:47 PM

I am with Chris, I don't think you will go less than 44mm after going 44.

104 would be a great choice... 176, 177 if you like ti.... I really enjoy my 177! You really can't go wrong... Even 111 would be awesome.

Ok, sounds like 44mm is the pick of choice. What models in 44mm are offered in titanium?

176 and 177, but try some on steel first.

Steel !! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Lubrifar 14 April 2009 05:47 AM

I really like the lightness and patina from Ti...might consider steel with strap.
