Incoming! (1st Rolex)

Got the Air King today fresh from the AD.This watch is amazing and completely different in pics when you have in on your wrist! Pics to follow!

Question - Do you guys recommend getting a watch winder if so which one would you recommend?

brandrea 30 August 2020 03:13 AM

Congratulations Patrick, enjoy it:cheers:

I’m not inclined to use watch winders, the wrist does just fine:chuckle::thumbsup:

jonathon555 30 August 2020 03:13 AM

Congrats wear it in great health

RoscoPico 30 August 2020 03:14 AM

congrats and no i don't recommend. just wear it often

sunnygps 30 August 2020 03:19 AM

If this is going to get most of the wrist time, wear the heck out of it. There is no date on the air king anyways, so easy to wind and go.

996marty 30 August 2020 03:38 AM

Wear it all the time I say

atxdivebezel 30 August 2020 03:47 AM

no watch winder. wind it, set it, enjoy the process.

BNA/LION 30 August 2020 07:22 AM

Congratulations!

Come on man. You know the deal! Let’s see pics of your new watch!

PatrickGu 30 August 2020 08:21 AM

Thank you guys! This watch is a different beast in real life. The dial is gorgeous and the green really pop!

If you are on the fence I highly recommend trying on one, it is a fantastic underrated watch and I’m over the moon with this one.

I had hard time choosing between the air king and The Explorer 1, and while the explorer is a timeless classic watch I find the air king a lot more fun.

Heu 30 August 2020 08:39 AM

Congratulations!

indianmachine 30 August 2020 09:15 AM

congrats! Let's see some pics! I don't use a winder.

GradyPhilpott 30 August 2020 09:18 AM

Congratulations!

You do not need a watch winder.

It's just an unnecessary expense.

Plebs 30 August 2020 09:46 AM

You don’t need one, but I enjoy all of my winders, stuck with Wolf and so far no issues. Congrats on your pickup !

Congratulations Patrick a great watch and one of Rolex longest running production watches. The Airking has a long great Rolex history, wear your watch with pride and in good health.About the watch winder IMHO not needed with any modern day Rolex watch.

APPRF 30 August 2020 05:48 PM

Congrats, very nice watch, and yes it's much better looking in real life than in pictures. I get a lot of looks on the wrist when wearing the Bloodhound Air King and the Rootbeer than with other references. No for watch winder.

Rollied 30 August 2020 05:49 PM

Congrats! And also another “no” vote on the watch winder from me, too.

donas 30 August 2020 05:56 PM

Congrats! Opinions vary, but I don't see a need for a winder. I own several automatic watches, most of which stop from lack of use. I just wind & set time when ready to wear, takes 30 seconds.

dpvillanueva 30 August 2020 06:01 PM

Congrats bro!

42itus 30 August 2020 07:42 PM

Nice watch! Definitely “no” on the winder.

Congrats! My first as well. It looks totally different in person than in pics. Lots more dial space, green doesnt stand out like a sore thumb, and the 3-6-9 in WG makes them disappear on the dial.

Ranger67 30 August 2020 10:36 PM

Congrats, waiting for pics, I wouldn’t use a winder myself.

RichM 30 August 2020 10:37 PM

Congratulations Patrick. Skip the winder.

Danny83 30 August 2020 10:38 PM

Congrats I say no winder for watches without date
