048 or 312

Hi

I was so sure I was going to get a 312, BUT part of me is thinking it maybe too big for me. The 48 is 40mm and the 312 is 44mm.

I have a size 6 inch wrist and the watches I have are - cartier santos, rolex 18k datejust, patek 24 some tags and fossils!Lol!

I was thinking about getting the 048 instead of the 312 can you let me know your thoughts please??

I am a lady by the way.Lol!!

Thanks in advance!

My vote is 312. 44mm, 1950 case, thick case, just love it.
My wifey wrist is so petite, but 183 look so nice in her wrist IMO.

Thanks TR! I am going to try it on over the weekend and see how it fits!

You have all those watches already and are looking at Panerai now, you must get a hundred marriage proposals off this site every week

As for the watch, 6" wrist is quite small for a 44mm PAM, especially one that's 18mm thick, i can only give you some wrist shots showing the difference between a 40 and 44mm PAM on my wrist

Thanks as ever Ryan! You are fantastic!! I am going to go to the AD on Saturday and try the 312 on, if it does not look too big, I will get it, if not I will ask them to see if they can get me a 048. I like the AD, so would be happy to get a different model from them, plus they have my deposit already!Lol!!

Thanks TR and Tui! I am itching to start buying straps like you guys!Lol!

Indeed your best option is just to go down to the AD and fit a 44 & 40 mm and see what you like best, my wife has got quite a small wrist also, but she can handle a 44mm in my opinion, however she finds it to big, so its quite personal indeed.

but as TR say's you cant go wrong with either for sure... good luck .!!

Thanks Niels, I will report back on what I decide!

At the end of the day, size doesn't matter, it's how it feels that's important

Get the 312. Beautiful watch, My wife wears my 183 (45mm) and 177 (44mm), no doubt when the 312 arrives she will try and wear that too. She has exceptionally small wrists but both look fine on. You really have to try them on.

Another thing i'd definitely do is try a luminor 44mm as well, something like a 104, 111 or the likes as the 1950s case and thickness of the 312 might be offputting, but you could still like a 44mm over a 40mm. By trying all 3 you'll get a better feel for what is best for you.

To try and ease your mind i've taken a picture of my 233 on an even smaller wrist, i think Sheepy carries it off well

Agree...the 44mm and up look awesome...the 40mms just don't look right to me save the Pam74....which is the only 40mm I'd sport. Open case back...Zenith El Primero movement...only 300 pieces produced and super rare...Very nice Ryan!!!

:smokin:

Take the 312...you won't regret it...
