Why I prefer the 111 over even mythical pieces
I’ve had many, the tuttonero, 764, 328 and many more. I still have what to many are really iconic pieces, however, in my humble opinion probably the most quintessential Panerai is the early Opx movement sandwich dial 111. I don’t know why this is the case, but the watch just oozes Panerai DNA of yesteryear.

I completely agree. It’s the understatement that makes it so timeless.

I have an early 112 and totally agree. Proper tool watch although mine has a pretty rear too!!!

I completely agree regarding the 111, I started to take a liking to the brand a couple of years ago and started my search last year when I found a private sale full set sandwich dial for sale on the forums (even included Panerai service papers). There seems to be very few for sale this year as I randomly check around for curiosity. I like that strap on yours btw, & have patience along w doing your homework Aventura. It took me months to find the right one when searching. I even had a few scammers contact me when I posted a WTB ad over at the Paneristi forum. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b6e7ba1877.jpg

Its stingray. I had it made by someone on etsy (sorry can’t remeber the name). The white areas or the fishes backbone. |
