zaratsu scratch
 

Hey everyone,

So I scratched the Lake Sua at 6 o' clock on the portion of the bezel that has zaratsu polish.

Is there anything I can do to fix this other than send it to GS for service? I'm scared to try to polish it myself and ruin the zaratsu - but if anyone has any ideas or has found a simpler solution for this I would love to hear. Thanks!

Mine was scratched when the sales person resized the bracelet brand new. I didn’t notice until after I got home. I was really upset and was going back to argue but figured they’d just deny it. It’s still there. I would leave fixing it to the factory.

Almost inevitable with use. After a few more on the omiwatari of mine, I just acknowledged it is very easy to scratch. However lightly.

Been there. Done that. Asked the question.

Eventually it doesn’t bother me anymore.

Wear and enjoy till service.

No way.

Although I'm normally very careful with my watches I've scratched the 9' o'clock side of my Snowflake easily and asked some experienced watchmakers if they could do anything but the only answer was to send in back to factory if you want the best result...

Gotta admit, that might be an eyesore. I hope you'll get used to it, though, at least until the next movement service where you might want to polish all scratches incurred prior to that.
It's quite impractical to have it polished for every scratch you don't want to see. Aside from costs, the turnaround time will probably take weeks to months. You'll spend less time with your watch than the watchmaker will. [emoji28]
