Hermes H08 owners - still owners ?
 

Just wondering if after the initial noise of the H08 how many owners still have theirs or have traded and if so for what ?

I still have mine but am looking to swap it - probably for a Cartier Tank or Santos

Still have mine and still loving it. Great vacation watch, among other things. (I also own a Santos).

Still got one. Nice, comfortable piece that still underappreciated imo.

I so like this. it gets lots of positive comments and as stated a good holiday watch and very comfortable. Hermes doing great stuff right now.

I am really thinking of getting one. AD do nice discounts on them and for the price you get a lot of watch

What kind of discounts are you seeing? Is this at an Hermes boutique?

As Hermes is not selling the H08 with orange strap anymore, are they selling different colour straps at least separately?

I'm really liking the Hodinkee version also.

I have seen the Orange Strap model in a Hermes boutique. They look available
Where I am, I can buy for €4,300 the full titanium version at an AD with either Orange or Black strap

Oh I might go out and have a look today then. At which AD could you get that discount? Is it at the boutique on the PC or at the Bijenkorf? I don’t know about any other locations where they sell the H08.

They don't do discount at Boutique, you need to find an AD for this. There are quite a lot in France for example.

Aah makes sense yeah, in France it’s easiest to find Hermes of course :)

FYI, I was at a boutique the other day and they showed me a boutique-only "built your own" website they have. It's no extra charge and you can pick the case, the dial, the strap, and do engraving. Pretty cool.

Aah that sounds really cool. I have a boutique nearby so I will pay a visit then and see what the options are.

I’ve been considering getting one but have only seen the basic titanium one in person- anyone have the opportunity to compare it to the more expensive ones with different case materials?

I have seen the titanium DLC coated and the all black model.. I think I prefer the plain titanium.

I’ve seen/tried on the titanium with DLC, the graphene, the glass fiber, and the plain titanium. I’ve also seen the rose gold but didn’t try it on. I like the idea of the graphene but in person, the contrast is too low since the numerals are slightly darker than the other models. I didn’t care for the glass fiber version — the extra color on the dial makes it a bit too much and less versatile in my opinion. I also thought the glass fiber was interesting but not something I cared for. It felt a bit plastic-y. The plain titanium was… plain. The low contrast between the case and the bezel made the various curves disappear. The rose gold was beautiful but too much money. I think the value proposition is one of the benefits of the H08 and this unbalances that equation.

My favorite was the titanium with DLC. I worry about the longevity of the DLC, but it hit all the right notes — good contrast throughout and versatile in different situations. Now I just need to decide between the H08 and the Cartier Santos Chrono in steel/ADLC…

I would like if anyone of you owns one of the H08 with the new composite material case. If yes can you tell me if it scratches and cracks? How would you compare it to steel and ceramnic? Thank you

I previously owned an H08 in titanium and DLC. It was only with me a short while.

I actually have an H08 composite that's currently out for delivery. I will have it this am and will report back.

How do they wear on a small wrist ? my wrist approx 6.5 inch and I really like look of this watch

I have a wrist about 6.75 last I measured. Wears great!

I was looking on Hermes website couple weeks ago and liked look very much , especially orange strap which gives it very casual/sporty look . Thanks to both , you convinced me will be ok on my wrist . Cheers

Watch was delivered yesterday. It’s the composite on blue rubber. Very comfortable and looks great! Obviously can’t report on durability of the composite after a day, but happy with the new acquisition!

I’ve been liking for a used rose gold H08. Hard to find! Does anyone actually have one.? I think it’s the sharpest version of this watch.
