Replacement Post for 5.3mm Crown
Hello All,
New member here. I am working on repairing my Oysterdate 6694 (my first Rolex). The crown is in excellent condition but the "post" that screws into the crown is damaged and not salvageable. (NOT the tube on the watch body, but the actual post that screws into the crown and holds the spring and piston). I managed to save the crown spring, and piston, but I need to replace the Post. Does anyone have one they want to sell to me OR does anyone know where i can purchase one (aftermarket is fine). I know it would be easier to just purchase a new crown but why not fix it if i could do it myself. Thanks! |

Welcome to the Forum! I assume you are referring to the Winding Stem. Plenty on Ebay. Look for your caliber 1210 1225 etc. |

Thanks for the welcome! No, actually it's the post attached to the crown. It looks like like one piece, but the post is removable and holds the spring and piston. I circled it in RED in the attached photo. That post screws out and the spring and piston are contained in it: |

Crown arrived today, and another sincere THANK YOU to TimeToGo!!!!
Here are the pics as promised. A little history. This was my first Rolex that I purchased used around 1995. It is a 1974 Oysterdate with a 1983 bracelet that I believe was used on the Daytona in 1983. Behind the case back are the service notes from Rolex New York showing it was serviced in 1983. I wonder if the original owner purchased the bracelet around the same time? maybe the 1983 date is just a coincidence. Not the sexiest Rolex out there but it has a lot of meaning to me as it was the watch that made me fall in love with the brand. I am really happy I have it back in working order and thanks to TimeToGo I am done! I love the way the words on the dial disappear or "ghost" in the sunlight. I took a picture and hope that show up in the pic. |

I am very glad it's up and running. Wear in the best of Health ! |
