Back to Panerai….914

Well after a lot of waffling I have finally come back to Panerai for a timepiece. Last owned one ~2010 and have always missed the aesthetic, was just waiting on the right one to commit. I recently came across the 914 and it ticked all the boxes for me: super clean with no seconds, manual wind with 8 days PR, 8 Giorni text, sandwich dial, just a home run for what I want out of a Panerai. Got in touch with Patrick/OCWatchGuy who had a 2 month old example at a great price (even has the new recycled packaging and PAM Guard until 2031!). A few messages later, it’s coming in tomorrow. Super excited to have another PAM in the arsenal!

Congratulations, great watch! I love the pure clean lines.

Is the PAM Guard transferrable? I was considering a pulling the trigger on a slightly used PAM that supposedly had the extended warranty, but when I looked up the PAM Guard it said it is only good for the original owner who registered it. Is there a way around this to get the full 8 years of warranty?

I called 3 different PAM boutiques who told me the original owner will register it but then it follows the watch/serial. So if you ever need service just present the card and it will already be active.

Great, thanks! You just made my decision easier.

Congrats, 914 is my first and only Panerai. Yet to be seen if there will be a 2nd one. :D

Congratulations! I was in the same situation last summer. Had numerous Panerais and sold them all off to make space for other brands....then being without one for about 8 years I realized it was time to get one back. Back in with Panerai and am always happy to have this recognizable brand in the collection. Post pics when she arrives!!

The hunt continues, watch arrived with damage and having to send back. Alas, guess it wasn’t meant to be! :chuckle:

I saw that listing and had been thinking hard about. Sorry for the damage. There was another listing for one that went within a week. Seems like you have to act fast on these. Good luck I’m your search.

Wow that’s a huge bummer.

Hope you land another:cheers:

There’s tons of them for sale all over watch websites. There will not be no problem picking up another one at a great price.

On another note, Patrick at OC Watch guy is wonderful to deal with so you shouldn’t have any problems with him

Lol that’s who I had to send mine back to :chuckle: It’s all good though, he paid for label, no issues, acknowledged that it wasn’t as described. Stuff happens when dealing volume, no bad blood from my side.

I ended up with a pristine 233 from another guy instead, so I’m 100% content end of day!

I have a 915, but the 233 is also an awesome choice and it's the type of Panerai I'd consider buying next if I wanted another 44mm. Congrats on your purchase!!

Post a pic! ( Easy for me to ask - I've never quite figured it out on this forum...).

Nice reversal of fortunes!! The 233 is one of my favorites!!
